The Mason Family of Middlesex
Richard Mason was baptised on 14th August 1803 at St George the Martyr, Middlesex, the son of William Mason, a solicitor, and his wife Susanna. Richard was a solicitor's clerk. On 1st June 1840, at the Strand Union Register Office, Middlesex, he married Lydia Turner, the daughter of Edward Holdsworth Turner, an actor.
